Combine spices and rub well into steak, then allow to stand at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Heat barbecue (or griddle pan) to very hot. Place steak on barbecue and cook for 5-8 minutes on both sides, depending on thickness.
Remove from heat, cover loosely with foil and sit in a warm space for 5 minutes. Slice, then serve.
